Run Form & Stride Coaching

Are you ready to get serious about changing your run form and stride? We are staffed with several PTs that have extensive training and experience working with runners of all experience levels, injured or not. With our Run Form & Stride Coaching service, our PTs will teach you the core principles of running, practice the running drills that help your body master these principles, and guide you through the most effective corrective exercises that are best for YOU, whether you are already a seasoned runner or just getting started.

This service is typically offered as a follow-up to our Run Form & Stride Analysis. This analysis provides rich information about where your deficits are in form and stride. Runners are welcome to use the analysis to guide their own training program, but we have found that most runners fall short of their training goals without structured feedback or a clear direction in which to focus their energy. Runners who choose to pursue coaching will walk away with the tools and knowledge they require to push themselves to become a more efficient and faster runner.

What can I expect during my coaching session?

  • One-on-one coaching with a physical therapist

  • Bring your running gear, YOU WILL BE RUNNING!

  • Review and discussion of the core principles of optimal running form

  • Incorporation of the core principles into several running drills that can benefit all runners regardless of experience level

  • Introduction to running on our True Form curved treadmill (pictured right) that is deigned to help runners adopt a more natural stride. This improves running mechanics, posture, and performance.

  • Specific instruction in corrective exercises that will contribute to improving both your form and stride.
