Dr. Jessica Chavez-Kline
Dr. Jessica Chavez-Kline, PT, DPT brings a wealth of expertise and experience in physical therapy, classical ballet and modern dance, yoga, and Pilates.
Jessica began studying classical ballet as a teenager and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from The Boston Conservatory in 2006. She has been practicing and teaching yoga since 2005 and has been registered with the Yoga Alliance since that time. She was initially certified to teach the Ashtanga style of yoga and later fell in love with alignment-based yoga methods and the teachings of Iyengar yoga. She also has many years of Pilates training from college coursework, a young dance career, and courses at Polestar Pilates.
Jessica holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine and has been licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Ohio since 2015 and in the State of Florida since 2014. Since becoming a Physical Therapist in 2014, she has worked in outpatient and inpatient acute care settings. She has taken manual therapy coursework in Barnes method of myofascial release and Strain-Counterstrain.
As a Physical Therapist, Jessica has treated orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions in patients from the outpatient setting to the critical care unit. She works to integrate a rich knowledge of movement arts and therapeutic movement with a doctoral level education in physical therapy. After achieving a long performance resume as a highly developed artist, she found a true passion in using the skills and techniques gained from a lifetime of movement training to help people of all ages, health conditions, and physical abilities enhance their life quality and reach their goals for improved function, performance, and overall wellbeing.
