"After running marathons for a few years, I developed a pelvis fracture that caused a lot of pain and limited my ability to run and cross-train. I was sidelined for 3 months to let the fracture heal, but I continued to have significant pain as I tried to return to fitness. In the course of a year, I had numerous visits with 3 different sports medicine physicians, physical therapy, massage, chiropractic adjustments, MRIs, and several steroid injections to no avail. It was very frustrating to be told that nothing was wrong, despite having active pain and limitations in even easy runs. I saw Eric for a quick assessment as part of a TRX for Runners program. His assessment made sense and, as a fellow runner, took into account my form and needs as a runner. I saw Eric for a few additional sessions. In addition to physical therapy adjustments, he recorded and analyzed my running form, and provided me with basic self-correction exercises which were simple, but vastly different from previous therapists. In putting these into place, I quickly began to feel less pain. With these improvements, my running pace and endurance also began to return. A few months later, I was able to return to marathons. Since this time, I have not just regained my fitness, but have even improved from where I was pre-injury. Thanks to Eric, I have completed 50k and 50 mile ultra-marathons, and just qualified for Boston!"
